ALC offers clinic-based programming for learners seeking to utilize our services. Our program affords learners both 1:1 direct instruction and programming as well as regular opportunities to practice group learning and social skills in a clinic setting.
Benefits of a clinic-based model:
Increased hours/scheduling with staff
Increased access to materials to promote generalization
Increased supervision with BCBA/BCBA-D and consulting staff
Continued staff training opportunities
Regularly scheduled social skill straining and experiences
Decrease in cancelled sessions
Our model classrooms at ALC seek to develop and supervise a collaborative classroom for up to 4 students and target elementary and early learning grades. In this model our practice runs 2-3 classrooms with curriculum and activities based in a hands-on, multisensory approach through inquiry based learning. These classrooms have the benefit of ABA services and support with the generalization to classroom and group based learning with an integrated approach that incorporates direct instruction, Precision Teaching, Reggio-Emilia techniques and investigative learning. Students looking for placement in the model classroom require a commitment to full time, school day scheduling. Please contact our office for more details!
